Accomodation alternatives

The arctic region around Kiruna is home to a number of “hidden gems” in terms of accommodation. Various fishing and hunting cabins, small mountain top hostels, luxury ski-resort hotels and high quality tourist villages constitute a wide pool of options with various comfort levels which we draw upon to create the exact experience you are looking for. More or less “civilization”, more or less “comfort”, more or less “wilderness”, all is up to you. But it will always be with excellent quality.

Sleeping comfort

We offer a wide range of accommodation alternatives, where you can choose from comfortable double beds in modern hotels and cabins, to simple benches in log cabins in the forest. Or perhaps you'd like to try a night in the world famous Jukkasjärvi Ice Hotel?

Depending on the time of your arrival to Kiruna, we either stay the first night in Kiruna, or at the Icehotel. The Icehotel offers accommodation in either modern cabins, a regular hotel room, or a suite in the Icehotel itself. Irrespective of which, you will of course have a full tour of the Icehotel and its rooms, as well as have the opportunity to enjoy a drink in the famous Icehotel ice-bar:

Sauna

As a natural part of the Nordic culture, the sauna has its everyday place on our tours. It is a tradition, combining wellness and cleanliness, heat and relaxation. Saunas are literally everywhere, and are either woodfired or electric. Always with plenty of steam, and always with ample refreshing snow right outside the doorstep! Rolling in the snow is a “must”, and much more pleasant than you might think before trying.

Saunas are typically mixed, but some locations have dual saunas, offering a choice.

Mobiles and internet

Want mobile networks and internet access? Well, then you have missed the point of ”nature” and ”wilderness”. J But we have good news. There is coverage available when we are in the vicinity of populated areas, although you should expect that the tours often go through areas well beyond GSM coverage. Set the time aside to enjoy the unique experience. The calls and work will wait for a few days, or at least until the evening.
